Description

ok.....ten millionth time trying to upload this >_>

My chronicler for :iconzeldafreakhall:'s Myriad Path II
Kind of a rough sketch, i know, but he's still a cool cat (though a rather nasty one :) )

Argh...i can't upload the full image from this computer >_< Iuno if its cuz of DA or me, but I can only get a cropped portrait of the original image. I'll fix it as soon as I can...

And with no further ado, may I present Kalak:

Stats

Race: Twili
Home: Twilight Realm (Post TP)

Personality: Kalak is cruelly optomistic. Observing others suffer brings him giddy pleasure, which he voices without hesitation. He is rather condescending, especially to those unfortunate enough to be in his control.
Kalak is also a bit of a coward, though he tends to hide this fact well (since he is currently untangible and cannot be hurt by the physical plane). Other words that could describe the twili are selfish, immature, sadistic, bossy, ironic and arrogant.

History

When the Ursurper King Zant was banished from Hyrule, and the shadows lifted from the land of light, remnants of twilight were left behind. Among these fractions of shadow is the twisted twili Kalak.

Kalak, like several other Twili, followed Zant into Hyrule with the hopes of conquering the land of light. Driven by greed and a desire to control the weak, Kalak brought torment to the trapped spirits of Hyrule. However, much to the twili's chagrin the rein of twilight was short lived, and the Hero of Time drove the shadows from whence they came. Unfortunately for Kalak, he was left behind by his twili bretheren. Trapped in the land of light, the twili cowered in the pale shadows of Hyrule for many years. He became no more than the Hylian spirits he tormented so lavishly in the darkness.

Desperate to regain his tangibility, Kalak sought out his king's old master Ganon. Upon discovering the gerudo theif, Kalak begged Ganon to either return him to his ancesteral home or to imbue Hyrule in darkness once again. At first, Ganon scoffed the miserable being's request. The twili had already once served (and failed) him long ago, and he wanted nothing to do with the pathetic creature. But the twili's persistance amused him. Kalak offered his complete fidelity and service for as long as Ganon desired. Eventually Ganon agreed.

Now a deticated servant of Ganon, Kalak became a valuble spy. Able to slip in and out of the shadows on a whim, he was the eyes and ears of the evil king. Harboring malice and destructive desires against Hyrule Kalak channels this foul energy into his services. He is a beguiler, cheat, sneak, liar and cold hearted monster who anxiously awaits the day he can wrap his wirey fingers around the throats of the Hylians.

Kalak's latest mission is to guide iron knuckle Blaze through the Myriad Path. He is able to hide comfortably within her hulking shadow and keep his eyes on the events of the tournament. On behalf of Ganon, Kalak controls the golem. Blaze is compelled to obey the twili's command. He seeks to lead her to victory within the stoney walls of the dungeon, hopefully gaining approval in his masters eyes. He believes that this final act of loyalty will send him home.

The presence of Kalak has so far remain unknown to all but Ganon, as the twili mostly speaks to Blaze from within her mind.
